San Pablo Mural Project

This project was a collaboration between GRL GRP and If/Then Studio

The San Pablo Mural Project aimed to highlight the disparities between public and private spaces in Southwest Berkeley. Magenta paint drew the attention of curious passers-by, while supersized cutouts of local flora and fauna help create a striking mural that enlivens the neighborhood and brightens the lives of those who encounter it. Multiple collage applications were applied to the building before it was ultimately demolished in March of 2022 to be replaced with affordable housing.
